Method
- Brew the Coffee: Brew 1 cup hot, strong coffee however you like to make it.
- Add the Fats: Hot water fills the coffee; pour it into a blender. Then add the cup of butter, and MCT oil or coconut.
- Blend Until Frothy: Process on high speed for 20-30 seconds until smooth and frothy.
- Taste and Adjust: You can add a little cinnamon or sweetener – even sea salt, if you like. Blend again briefly if needed.
- Serve Immediately: Pour it into a mug and drink hot. Whisk again if necessary to froth it up.
Notes
- For best results make sure to use hot, fresh-brewed coffee.
- Grass-fed butter contributes more nutrients and a deeper flavor.
- A blender ensures maximum froth; stirring does not produce the same effect.
- Stir in collagen peptides or protein powder for a little extra oomph.
- Steer clear of flavoured oils or sweeteners that contain hidden carbs.
