Ingredients
  

  • 500g beef mince (ground beef, 80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)
  • 2 olive oil or butter
  • 1 onion (finely chopped, optional)
  • 2 cloves (minced)
  • 1 bell pepper (diced, optional)
  • 1 zucchini (diced)
  • ½ tomato puree (sugar-free)
  • 1 paprika
  • 1 cumin powder
  • ½ chilli flakes
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • ½ shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella, optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

  • 1 Wooden spoon
  • 1 Mixing Bowl
  • 1 Knife & cutting board

Method
 

  1. Heat the Oil: You can good with olive oil or butter, heat that up in large skillet over medium to make sure the cooking base is on point.
  2. Fry Aromatics: Stir in finely diced onion and minced garlic and saute until soft and fragrant for flavour-rich base.
  3. Cook Beef: Stir in the beef mince to the pan, and use a spoon to break it down and brown it evenly.
  4. Add Veggies & Spices: Stir in bell pepper, zucchini, paprika, cumin, chili flakes, salt and pepper and cook for approximately 5 minutes.
  5. Add Sauce: Add sugar-free tomato puree and stir; simmer for 8-10 minutes until flavours are combined.
  6. Finish & Garnish: Add a layer of cheese on top, place under cover until melts or browns; sprinkle freshly chopped paresely, and serve hot.

Notes

  • For the most flavourful and fattiest blend, go for 80/20 beef.
  • If too greasy, drain off any excess fat.
  • In order to get some additional nutrition, throw in some spinach, mushrooms or cauliflower rice.
  • Adjust spices to taste.
  • Prepare in large quantities and keep in the refrigerator for 3–4 days.
